It’s almost that time of year again. Up north the leaves turn orange, the nights get a little longer… and over here in the southern hemisphere it’s the opposite, but in almost everywhere in the world, eerie tunes start creeping through the air.
Yep! Halloween season is upon us, and nothing sets the mood like the right soundtrack. Gear up your costume, because you are about to join me on a haunted trail of spooky sounds! I hope that did not sound as cringy as I felt while writing it…
Spooky Radio Recommendations
Why radio stations? Well, I stopped creating music playlists a while ago, but specifically last Saturday, I was at my mother-in-law’s birthday party and connected my phone to the speaker to play cozy lofi. I won’t name the brand, but the app I use to listen to music decided it was a good time to randomly play Cardi B’s “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion. I love them both, but… time and place, right? Right.
Big R Radio – The Halloween Channel – All things spooky. The perfect jams to dance and send chills down your spine are here. Also, it is approved for mother-in-law’s birthday parties, and maybe Halloween-themed baby showers.
DeadAir.co – The name says it all. It’s a quirky station where horror soundtracks meet hits. One minute, you’re jamming, and the next, you’re jumping from a random ghostly 👻 sound effect. See how these random changes make sense?
Horror Theater – Perfect for anyone looking to turn their Halloween into a full-blown scary story marathon, it’s like bringing a haunted house straight to you!
Holidaze Halloween Radio – From hauntingly fun tunes to creepy sound effects that will make you double-check those shadows, this station has everything you need to set the Halloween mood in your home or at your party.
As we get closer to the Holidays and here in the southern hemisphere we enter our Brat Summer era through Halloween’s dark hallway let’s remember, it’s all about the right mix. Work smarter, not harder, why would you spend time creating a playlist when you can tune into these stations?
