Simple Radio now available on Amazon Echo

At Streema we want to people to easily access great audio content and that’s why we are taking Simple Radio to every device on every platform. We are happy to share that Simple Radio is now available on Amazon Echo, so go ahead and check it out.

How do you enable Simple Radio on your Echo? The first step is to say: “Alexa, enable Simple Radio skill” or in the store.

Once you enable Simple Radio, can ask Alexa to play any station by just saying:
-“Alexa, ask Simple Radio to play KEXP”
-“Alexa, tell Simple Radio to play BBC Music”
-“Alexa, tell Simple Radio to tune in NPR”

Also, it’s easy to play the last station you listened to by just saying “Alexa, talk to Simple Radio” and Alexa will ask you if you want to resume.

Simple Radio featured on Google Play again!

At Streema we wanted to let you know that our mobile app Simple Radio is being featured right now on Google Play for countries such as the United States, Canada, Brazil, UK, France and many more.

This is not the first time the app is featured on Google Play and we’re really happy about that. Also, we want to use this opportunity to thank the folks at Google for their feedback and recognition. 😊

1 year and 1M MAU on Android later

Before the year came to an end, we wanted to take a little time with you to celebrate some of our milestones in this amazing 2015. 🙂

In particular, it has been an important year for us in mobile. We launched Simple Radio for Android in January and Simple Radio for Apple Watch in April. We also added Chromecast Support, to the delight of many of our users.

We wanted to make a special mention about our Android app: in less than 12 months we reached 1 million Monthly Active Users on that platform and its success led us to be featured on Google Play.

And finally, we have also been listening to you and working very hard to improve our product, a result of which is that Simple Radio now has a 4.4 rating out of 5 on Android and 4.5 over 5 on iOS.

We have big plans for 2016, so stay tuned.

Simple Radio is now on Apple Watch!

Simple Radio on Apple Watch gives simplicity a whole new meaning. It’s another opportunity for us to improve the lives of radio listeners around the world. To deliver on our promise, we’ve created the app so that no user needs to spend longer than 5 seconds to access the station they want. We’ve made critical design decisions to minimize friction based on the limited screen real estate. Here are the the features we’ve decided to include in Simple Radio for Apple Watch:

A few months ago we launched Simple Radio for iOS and we are happy to say that the response from our users has been fantastic. Our app recently reached 500,000 installs with an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars in the App Store. All thanks to your support!

But today’s post isn’t about iOS, it’s about the other great mobile platform that our users love. We’re happy to welcome Simple Radio for Android!

As with its iOS cousin, Simple Radio for Android is free and super easy to use. You’ll be able to get to your favorite stations blazingly fast and listen to them without any interruptions.

Our new iPhone app Simple Radio is finally here!

Last week we said there was something new coming at Streema. After several months of hard work, we are proud to announce our new iPhone application: Simple Radio.

At Streema, we’ve been wanting to develop a mobile application for a long time. Additionally, it was the #1 most popular request we got from our users over the past few years. Finally, this year we made it happen!

When you first launch Simple Radio, you’ll notice that it’s super easy to use, comes with just the essentials and has a beautiful design. We wanted to create a pure radio experience, removing everything that could get in the way of you and your favorite radio stations. Just go to the App Store, install Simple Radio (it’s free!) and experience it for yourself.
